An Essay Prize open to students of medicine, nursing, therapy or science

The Movement Disorders Section of the BGS invites medical students and students of nursing, therapy or science, to submit an essay on:

"Can we change the outcomes in Parkinson's Disease?"

The essay should be a maximum of 1500 words with UP TO 10 references

First prize is £400; second prize is £300 and third prize is £200. The winning essay will be published on the British Geriatrics Society website.

Essays to be submitted in MSWord format (please put your name and the name of your school in the header of each page) to the Grants and Prizes Manager of the BGS

Closing date: 1 April 2010. Results will be available on this website on 1 June 2010.

Applicants must be medical students on a full-time course or students of nursing, therapy or science in full time study at a school in the UK or Republic of Ireland.

No correspondence can be entered into concerning the judges' decision.
