British Geriatrics Society 7 - 9 October 2009 To those who submitted abstracts, these will be adjudicated by CPEC (Clinical Effectiveness) and the Academic and Research Committee (Research) on 17 and 23 July respectively, and the results will be posted up on the BGS website by 31 July. As part of its international strategy encouraging overseas visitors to participate in our scientific meetings it has been decided to waive registration fees for presenters from low income or low-middle income countries. It has become clear that the high cost of registration has deterred visitors from the developing world from attending. If you wish to register as a presenter from a developing country (as defined by the World Bank), please contact the Abstracts Manager. Members of the Canadian Geriatrics Society may register at the members' rate as a result of a memorandum of understanding between the CGS and BGS. BGS Meetings Secretariat
