The National Audit Office has published ‘Improving Dementia Services in England’, an interim report on the implementation of the Dementia Strategy.

Professor Peter Passmore, BGS Dementia Lead said: “We welcome this report, pointing out as it does the importance of dementia and the need to implement the dementia strategy where possible. We are also concerned that clarity around implementation is less than ideal.  We would welcome efforts to ensure that commissioners and those who are charged with planning are given the necessary “clout” to ensure that due priority is given to the strategy and that resources are accounted for in the way that they were intended.”
