Clinical Gerontology is a unit within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care in the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine. We aim to understand how best to maintain health in older populations. Our overall research aim is to quantify the combined role of lifestyle, environmental and genetic factors in the aetiology of the major disabling diseases of later life, focusing in particular on cardiovascular disease, cancer and osteoporosis and to identify effective prevention strategies. |
