Submitting an abstract for bi-annual scientific meetings

Applications are invited for the BGS bi-annual meetings between 1 April and 1 June for the Autumn meeting; and 1 September and 1 December for the Spring Meeting.

The online submissions facility will be switched on during these periods.

Please submit your abstract in good time. If for some reason, your computer system is unable to process your submission through the online facility, you will need to know that in good time to discuss a solution with the Abstracts Manager at the BGS office.

Before submitting your abstract you will need to determine whether it falls under the category of "clinical effectiveness" or "research".

The Society adheres to guidance from the Central Office for Research Ethics Committee (COREC) . If you are unsure what constitutes research, please visit COREC's website.

Spring meeting : 1 Dec
The online facility will be switched on on 1 Sept
Results of the adjudication will be posted on this website in January.

Autumn meeting : 1 Jun
The online facility will be switched on on 1 April
