Research Guidance

There are many good reasons to do research, including contributing original knowledge to geriatric medicine, understanding a particular area in depth, learning how to appraise journal articles which influence clinical practice, and supervising and conducting ongoing research as consultants.

These pages are for trainees in geriatric medicine who are thinking of doing research or who are doing research. The section has documents and links on finding a suitable project and superviser, sources of funding, and the practicalities of doing research. We also provide details of UK academic departments. We plan to add sections on actual projects being done by trainees and projects you might like to enquire about.
