This is the official web site of the British Geriatrics Society (BGS), an association of doctors, nurses, therapists and scientists with a particular interest in the medical care of the frail older person and in promoting better health in old age. The BGS is the only professional association, in the United Kingdom, of doctors practising geriatric medicine. The purpose of the site is to make available, information which would be of use to its members, carers, and organisations who have an interest in geriatric medicine/ gerontology or the care of the older person.
