- Good Practice Guides
Formerly known as the compendium of good practice, good or best practice guides cover issues of governance in older people's care. May we also recommend our reference material which includes good practice and governance as well.
- Clinical Guidelines
Clinical Guidelines are developed through a rigorous procedure of audit, literature search and peer review to improve the standards of diagnosis, treatment and management of specific diseases and conditions. This section has clinical guidelines developed by the BGS (usually in conjunction with other bodies), as well as listing other sources of clinical guidelines.
- Consultations
The BGS is regularly asked by the Dept of Health, official Government inquiries and other consulting bodies to comment on specific issues. The BGS's position on these issues is posted in this section.
- Powerpoint Library The BGS publishes, in pdf format, copies of powerpoint presentations delivered at its scientific meetings. Please note that we only publish presentations of those authors who authorise publication of their presentations. Presentations stay on the website for 2 years.
