Nurses and AHPs Council

The BGS Nurse and Allied Health Professions (NAHPs) Council is a forum for the engagement and participation of Nurses and AHPs in the Society’s mission to improve healthcare for older people. The Council is committed to raising the voice of the individuals and the professions it represents.

NAHPs have met as a group within the society since 2000. In order to drive forward the BGS’s strategic aim of being a genuinely multi-disciplinary society and to recognise the vital contribution of Nurses and AHPs to high quality healthcare of older people, the Nurses and AHPs Council was established by a decision of the 2016 BGS Annual General Meeting, replacing the existing Nurses and AHPs Special Interest Group.

If you are a BGS member and a nurse or therapist you welcome to join the Council. You can also join us on Twitter using the hashtag #NurseAHPcouncil.
