An exciting opportunity has arisen for a StR with experience in Geriatric Medicine to join our large department of Ageing and Health as a 1 year Geriatric Oncology Clinical Fellow.

 The post holder will work within the Department of Ageing and Health ‘Geriatric Oncology Liaison Development’ (GOLD) service. This new and innovative service is delivering comprehensive care to older people undergoing oncological cancer treatment in order to improve treatment tolerance and patient experience. The work will be based at both Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals.

The clinical work will involve the delivery of comprehensive geriatric assessment for older patient with cancer, development of care pathways and provision of support, training and development of oncology staff in 'geriatric issues'. The post holder will participate in outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary team meetings and service evaluation working with GOLD Consultants and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

There is an expectation that the postholder may participate in a general medicine out of hours on call, depending on gaps in cover.
