Dr Zoë Monnier-Hovell

Less Than Full Time (LTFT) Representative

Role on the Council
To help support Less than Full Time Trainees and ensure that Less than Full Time trainees have an advocate in the British Geriatric Society more widely.

Meetings
Trainee Council meetings, Less than Full Time working Group

Reason for joining the BGS Trainee’s Council
I have been LTFT since CMT and am grateful for the opportunities it has given me and the support I have received to enable me to do this. I understand this is not the case for everyone who would benefit from LTFT training and by serving on the BGS council I hope to be able to promote LTFT training and advocate for other trainees to ensure that trainees have appropriate training options and the support available to work in a way that is functional for them but also their Trusts and local deaneries.

Why trainees should get involved with the committee
Being a committee member enables you to have a voice in the British Geriatrics Society to support changes that are important to you and to those trainees following us. It is also great for leadership and management skills as well as meeting other geriatric trainees!
