A BGS webinar on the PICO (population; intervention; comparator; outcome) framework as a structured approach for developing research questions and informing evidence-based practice to improve the care of older people.
From ideas to evidence: crafting powerful research questions to improve the care of older people using the PICO framework
This online webinar will provide an overview of the NIHR HTA (Health Technology Assessment) Programme. Members will be introduced to the PICO (population; intervention; comparator; outcome) framework as a structured approach for developing research questions and informing evidence-based practice to improve the care of older people.
There will be the opportunity during the webinar to identify clinical problems pertaining to the care of older people from the workplace and use the PICO framework to begin to develop these into research questions that might fit within the remit of a future HTA commissioned call.
The webinar will be facilitated by Dr Susanne Arnold, Assistant Professor, Warwick Clinical Trials Unit, and Deputy Chair, BGS NAHP Council and Dr Lisa Robinson, AHP Consultant, Newcastle Hospitals, and Research Officer, BGS NAHP Council
