Andy Cole, OBE

Andy is an established leader in the UK charity sector. He has been Chief Executive of Royal Star & Garter for over a decade, championing high-quality social care services for the UK’s military veteran community; and in that time initiated a national accreditation framework for care homes to become ‘veteran friendly’. He was previously Chief Executive of Bliss, the national premature baby charity, where he supported the development of national standards for neonatal care across the UK nations and launched the Bliss Baby Charter Standards.

Andy has been the Chair of the National Care Forum, the leading not for profit social care membership organisation since 2021; and also served for six years on the Council of Buckinghamshire New University. He received an OBE in 2014.
