BGS Woodhouse Prize in Geriatric Medicine 2024
The BGS Woodhouse prize is an annual prize for the best essay on the theme of geriatric medicine submitted by a medical student in Wales. The prize consists of a free registration to attend/participate in a BGS national meeting (worth £180), and publication and promotion of the winning essay on our website.
Winner 2024: Kai Tuomas Chang
Kai is a final year medical student at Cardiff University. He will be starting his role as a NHS foundation doctor in August 2025. He is passionate about medical technology, particularly their novel applications to help address health challenges in the geriatric population.
