Dr Anirudh Kumar

I am Ani, an ST7 Geriatric Medicine Registrar based in the East Midlands. I graduated from the University of Leicester in 2016 and undertook my postgraduate training in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. I previously represented the Trainees on the BGS Education and Training Committee. 
 

It has been a pleasure to serve the BGS Midlands Region as Co-Chair. We cover a wide geographical area with significant demographic variability. We know from workforce data that geriatric medicine healthcare professionals are under-represented per capita across the East and West Midlands. I hope that we can engage members across the region to collaborate and share educational opportunities and working practices that can help us collectively better care for older people.
