Dr Emma Spencer

My name is Emma, an ST4 in Geriatric Medicine working in Manchester. I trained in Bristol but have also worked in London, Edinburgh and Melbourne, Australia.

I have an interest in medical education and mentorship. I have been involved in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching, have a PGCert in Medical Education, and represented medical trainees nationally via my role with the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh.

Medical training has been a rewarding experience and given me lots of opportunities. I want to make sure trainees can continue to make the most of these with the right support and resources for the challenges along the way. I also want to spread my enthusiasm for Geriatric medicine so our older people continue to get cared for by fantastic healthcare workers, and so I continue to have brilliant colleagues!
