Dr James Laraman

Welsh Council Representative

About Me: I studied in London and completed foundation training in Portsmouth before spending a year working (and playing) in New Zealand. I returned to the UK for core medical and now specialty training in South Wales. I have always had a passion for geriatric medicine and am currently undertaking a masters in clinical geriatrics.

Reason for joining the BGS Trainee’s Council: The BGS offers a wide range of excellent teaching and policy groups. I hope to use my role to maintain and build links between Welsh programmes and wider national projects as well as representing my colleagues locally.
