Angeline Price is an advanced practitioner at Salford Royal Hospital, working within the department of Ageing and Complex Medicine. She has been a registered nurse since 2009, working across a variety of both acute and community clinical settings in both cardiology and geriatric medicine.
Angeline developed a special interest in the peri-operative care of older people, in particular those undergoing emergency laparotomy, and went on to complete a multi-methods PhD study exploring the impact of emergency laparotomy for older people living with frailty funded via a National Institute for Health Research doctoral fellowship.
Angeline is the Nurse and AHP Lead for the National Emergency Laparotomy Audit and Chair of the Royal College of Nursing Perioperative forum. She is passionate about increasing awareness and confidence amongst fellow nurses and allied health professionals to become more actively involved in research, education and contributing to national agendas for service development and priority setting.
Angeline is keen to ensure that the meeting agendas continue to represent the multidisciplinary team working needed to deliver care effectively for older people and would love to hear from colleagues with suggestions for future meetings Angeline.price@nca.nhs.uk
