Dr Samantha Leung is a Consultant Geriatrician working in the South Eastern HSC Trust Northern Ireland.
Her work passions lie in Acute Frailty and quality improvement in cross-directorate and multidisciplinary working and currently sits on the SE Trust Frailty Board and Realistic Medicine group.
She is also part of the BGS #ChooseGeriatrics Steering group and is keen to empower others to work within Care of the Elderly, acting as clinical and educational supervisors to trainees, ANPs and physician associates.
Being of second generation Chinese descent she is cognizant of the lack of cultural diversity within Northern Ireland and thus seeks to support IMGs working within this area and to ensure equality and access for the older minority ethnic population using shared knowledge from the other, more diverse UK nations.
