Dr Zuleikha Mistry

Clinical Quality Committee representative

I’m an IMT2 doctor working in the East Midlands deanery, where I also completed my foundation training and a teaching fellow post prior to starting internal medicine training. I joined the trainees council as a Clinical Quality representative after winning a prize for my work around ReSPECT forms which was presented at the BGS Autumn meeting in 2022. I joined the committee to help empower junior MDT members to carry out high quality audit and QI projects to help make more sustainable improvements within the world of geriatric medicine.

Why trainees should get involved with the committee:

The trainees council is a great way to meet like minded colleagues at a variety of training stages who are all interested in pursuing geriatrics as a career. It’s a fantastic place to be inspired, share experiences and to help shape the future of geriatrics as a speciality!
