Hello, I’m Emily, Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) for Hospital at Home (H@H) and Urgent Care Services in East Kent. I am a proud Allied Health Professional and registered Paramedic, with a clinical background rooted in pre-hospital and emergency care.

Early in my career with the ambulance service, I developed a strong interest in frailty and the complex needs of older adults. This led me to transition into hospice services, where I worked within a rapid response model supporting patients who were deteriorating or approaching the end of life. This experience shaped my commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care outside of the traditional hospital setting.

In my current role, I am passionate about developing and delivering community-based alternatives to hospital admission, with a particular focus on frailty, urgent care, and integrated working across health and care systems. I have a particular interest in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and its potential to enhance clinical decision-making, support early diagnosis, and enable safe, effective care closer to home.

I am always keen to connect with colleagues across the country who share an interest in frailty, urgent community care, and innovative models of care delivery, and to learn from and contribute to the growing national conversation in this space.
