Event time: 7:00-8:00pm
Speaker: Sue Greenwood MBE, Camborne Redruth Community Hospital
Community Assessment and Treatment Units in Cornwall began as a pandemic response. What they have become is something rather more significant. Cornwall's teams have pushed the boundaries of traditional same day emergency care well beyond the acute setting, developing new skills, practices and pathways that bring urgent care closer to the people who need it.
Sue Greenwood MBE has presented this work at both the 2024 and 2026 CHA National Conferences, where her sessions proved among the most popular of the programme. She joins us now to continue that conversation with an account of how the service has evolved and what the team has learned along the way.
This session goes beyond describing what Cornwall has achieved. The discussion will focus on how Sue and her colleagues developed the service - the thinking behind key decisions, the challenges of establishing new ways of working and what others in community hospitals might take away and apply in their own settings.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain valuable insights, network and discuss the opportunities and challenges presented on this topic. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. Do join us.
