This new micorlearning has been developed by experts to explain BEPOP - Benchmarking Exercise Programmes for Older People
This course, which is free for BGS members, begins with a brief summary of what sarcopenia is, and its prevelance, but emphasisingthe importance that exercise can make. The course then goes into detail around what a structured programme of resistance exercise could look like.
Topics covered include:
- Sarcopenia's causes, diagnosis and impact on older people's health and well-being
- How implementing a tailored resistance training and nutritional strategy can improve muscle health
- Utilises evidence-based interventions to enhance physical function and quality of life
- Promotes social engagement and education to support recovery and healthier aging
