Roadworks around campus
National Highways have kicked off major roadworks on the A52 near University Park, expected to last around 12 months. To help keep campus traffic flowing smoothly (and avoid it becoming a shortcut for everyone else), temporary barriers will be in place at various points from 7am to 7pm. If you’re heading to The Orchard Hotel or East Midlands Conference Centre, please use the West Entrance via Woodside Road. With extra traffic likely on surrounding roads, we recommend giving yourself a bit of extra time to get here.
Resident Doctors Strike - G4J to go ahead as planned
The BMA have announced Resident Doctor strikes. The strike will run from 7am 14 November to 7am 19 November, which overlaps with our G4J event. After consultation with board / committee members and the speakers themselves, we have made the decision to deliver this meeting as planned. If strike action does go ahead and you are no longer able to attend the meeting in person due to work commitments, please be reassured that you will be able to join live online or view on demand for six months post event.
