We are delighted to announce that the two candidates for President Elect of the BGS are Dr Ruth Law and Professor Martin Vernon. We’re delighted they have put themselves forward and glad to have two candidates of such a high calibre contesting the election. You can learn more about the candidates here.
The new President Elect will take office in November 2026 for a two-year term, supporting Dr Amit Arora as President. After this, they will serve a further two-year term from November 2028 to 2030 as BGS President, succeeding Dr Arora in the role.
