As part of our education offer, the BGS has developed a number of elearning and microlearning courses.
Our Frailty elearning is free to access for all health and social care professional. To date it has had over 14,000 registrations. First time hearing about it? Sign up now! This free access expires in June 2026.
Our other elearning and microlearning courses are free to BGS members. For non-members, elearning courses are £150 and microlearning courses are £12.

What microlearning courses do we offer?
Our current microlearning courses are:
- Advance Care Planning: A Patient Journey
- Visual Impairment in a Clinic Setting
- The new Electronic Frailty Index 2 (eFI2) – coming in the next few months
Why you should sign up
Each elearning course has been developed by experts in their field and supported by a review panel to ensure the quality of the content.
As each course is online, you can study at any time of the day or night and progress at your own pace. We break each course down into smaller modules to make it easier for you. Once you’ve completed and passed the elearning course, and left feedback, you will receive your CPD certificate for 10 CPD credits, approved by the RCP (London).
Our microlearning courses are worth 1 CPD credit and take no longer than an hour to complete. These are designed to help you meet your learning and development needs in short sessions alongside your work commitments.
As our elearning and microlearning courses are free for members, they are a fantastic member benefit.
