Communication and Social Media representative.
Role on the Council
To keep trainees up to date with courses, surveys, events and training updates relevant to geriatric medicine as well as available fellowship opportunities, scholarships, educational and research grants.
Meetings
- Trainees council meetings.
- Trainees update meeting at biannual BGS meetings.
- Annual trainees weekend.
Reason for joining the BGS Trainees’ Council:
- To give back to the society through my service.
- To be a guiding light for doctors who are undecided about their future career path.
- To keep members updated on events, research, conferences and news that are relevant to the older population.
- To ensure smooth communication between members all around the country and sister organisations all over the world.
- To contribute to the excellence of BGS meetings, creating a sweet balance of didactic and social networking sessions that will fulfil the educational needs of its attendees, members and non-members alike.
