Who should attend?

This is a one day course aimed at trainee doctors in geriatric medicine, and also other specialities that care for older people.

Why attend?

This course will equip you with the knowledge of how research works – from study conception, through funding, conduct, analysis and dissemination of the results. Interactive group work will show you how to appraise evidence, write abstracts, review an ethics proposal and pitch a grant proposal. Whether you are thinking of embarking on research or wanting to gain the essential competencies for accreditation, this course will show you how you can engage with research, and trainees with recent research experience will share their stories of what it is like to make the jump from clinical work to the research arena.

This event is approved for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
