National Clinical Impact Awards 2024

06 March 2024

The next round of clinical excellence awards, now known as the National Clinical Impact Awards, is now open. Full details can be found here.

From March 2023, National Clinical Impact Awards (NCIA) scheme applications will no longer include rankings and citations from national nominating organisations.

Applicants will now be able to seek guidance from any number of relevant membership organisations (MOs) they wish to approach.

MOs may review draft applications, providing pointers and advice, but must not edit or critique the text directly, as the application must be written solely by the applicant.

If you would like the BGS to review your application, bearing in mind the stipulation from ACCEA that we cannot edit or critique this, please contact the Society as early as possible and no later than 29 March 2024. Forms should be submitted to Mark Stewart via M [dot] Stewart [at] bgs [dot] org [dot] uk

Candidates will also need to submit an application via the National Clinical Impact Awards website, as in previous years. The closing date for submitting forms to the NCIA is 15 April.

The NCIA considers applications for CEAs from consultants employed in NHS organisations in England and Wales only. Scotland and Northern Ireland run schemes unconnected, but along similar lines, to the National Clinical Impact Awards.
