Angeline Price, RN, MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (2018), BSc Professional Studies – Nursing (2013), DipHE Adult Nursing (2009)

Angeline qualified as a registered nurse in 2009 and has worked in a combination of clinical settings across acute and community care in both cardiology and geriatric medicine. In 2016 she moved into the department of Ageing and Complex Medicine at Salford Royal Foundation NHS Trust, completing an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and qualifying as an ACP in 2018. Since then, Angeline has developed a special interest in the peri-operative care of older people, in particular those undergoing emergency laparotomy. She has worked closely with the colorectal team to develop a novel frailty assessment clinic within the colorectal 2 week wait pathway.

Angeline is a committee member of the Nurse and Allied Health Professional Council of the British Geriatrics Society and is Deputy Chair of the Royal College of Nursing Peri-operative forum. She is a National Emergency Laparotomy Audit fellow and has recently commenced a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship to undertake a mixed-methods study into the longer-term outcomes for older people living with frailty undergoing emergency abdominal surgery.

Angeline is passionate about increasing awareness and confidence amongst fellow nurses and allied health professionals to become more actively involved in research, education and contributing to national agendas for service development and priority setting.
