Dr Nisha Rajcoomar

Trainee Finance Representative
Meetings
  • BGS Trainee Council
  • BGS Finance Committee Meeting

I am a Geriatrics registrar currently working in Bristol. I am also the regional Geriatric representative for Severn deanery trainees.

Role on the Council

I joined the Trainees Council in 2024 as the Finance rep. I aim to represent trainees on finance issues within the BGS, events and membership fees. I have held several leadership and management roles previously and look forward to the challenges of this role and building on my experience and skills. I was previously the trainee rep for BGS South West.

Reason for joining the BGS Trainees Council

I joined the council to be part of group of enthusiastic like-minded trainees passionate about Geriatric medicine, and promoting Geriatric medicine as a career. Alongside my current roles I will continue to represent trainee views, support trainees, and contribute to improving their experiences. Having attended many BGS events over the years I am keen to contribute to BGS content and keeping events exciting, varied and relevant for Geriatric trainees. I am also keen to contribute to increasing inclusivity and diversity and being part of the bigger brighter future of the BGS and geriatric medicine.
