Medical student volunteers invited to attend BGS Autumn Meeting

The British Geriatrics Society (BGS) is the professional association of doctors practicing geriatric medicine, old age psychiatrists, general practitioners, nurses, therapists, scientists and others with a particular interest in the medical care of older people and in promoting better health in old age.

We are holding our Autumn Meeting 2019 at the Curve Theatre, Leicester on 6-8 November 2019.

The event will see over 900 geriatric healthcare professionals attend, including Consultants, StRs, Junior Doctors, GPs, Nurses and AHPs.

We are looking for up to 10 volunteer Medical Students for each day of the meeting, who are interested in or considering a career in Geriatric Medicine, to assist in the daily running of the event.

Responsibilities

The meetings run from Wednesday at 9am until Friday 4.30pm. Responsibilities will include assisting with registration, greeting and directing attendees to key points and providing microphone support during Q&A sessions in presentations. Other duties may be expected in addition to these key activities.
